Happy end of June! I cannot believe as I sit here on the 20th of June writing this that we are on the eve of the Summer Solstice already…it hardly feels like winter has ended let alone mid year and mid summer. It is a wonderful reminder to make the most of every moment and just enjoy what is sent your way. Even more relevant during all this “lockdown” business. I so hope you are all finding your path to endless joy – being creative in how you find that joy.
As you all know – or suspect – I am really missing Nepal and worried about the people. They seem to have so little help from the outside world. And we won’t be able to go for some time yet. So…finding our joy seems to include cycling! Which means we are spending time in this country doing things we would never normally do. Nick doesn’t know it yet but our next cycling adventure (after the C2C which we will be part way through by the time you read this…and to add an extra smile we are starting & finishing in Scotland!!!!); will be the Yorkshire Dales Cycleway in August…final prep for our ride in September in aid of the Water Project for the village in Nepal. Its a mere 130 miles and 4320 metres of ascent…that’s the bad bit!!! Have any of you done it and got any tips? We are going to have a couple of days in Warwickshire during July cycling too!
